Liberty Flames Offense:

Everything was going right for the Liberty offense against BYU. After struggling against Gardner-Webb, Liberty quarterback Johnathan Bennett redeemed himself by playing very well against BYU. Bennett had 247 yards and 2 touchdowns, while completing 24 out of his 29 passing attempts. The Liberty receivers helped Bennett greatly, as Noah Frith had 4 receptions for 70 yards, Demario Douglas had 8 receptions for 69 yards, and CJ Daniels had 2 receptions for 30 yards and an incredible 25 yard touchdown reception. Bennett was also successful in the run game, as he rushed for 46 yards on 8 carries. Liberty running back Dae Dae Hunter was getting big play after big play, breaking a lot of tackles. Hunter had 213 yards on 23 carries, with an 80 yard touchdown run. The Liberty run game in the red zone was also good, as Shedro Louis had 35 yards on 10 carries, with 2 running touchdowns, one being a 3 yard rush, and the other being a 6 yard rush.
