Louisville Cardinals Defense:
After having a pretty good defensive game against Pittsburgh, Louisville had an even better defensive game against a very good Wake Forest offense. Louisville made Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman look very comfortable for most of the game, by pressuring him. As a result of having a good pass rush against Wake Forest, Sam Hartman threw 3 interceptions, including a 46 yard pick 6 by Kei’Trel Clark, and a 90 yard pick 6 by Quincy Riley. Louisville also intercepted Mitch Griffis once. As well as intercepting Wake Forest 4 times, Louisville also forced 5 fumbles, and recovered 4 of those fumbles, including forcing Sam Hartman to fumble 3 times, and recovering all 3 off those fumbles. The run game for Wake Forest was also stopped for most of the game by Louisville. As a team, Wake Forest ran the ball 46 times, and only had 92 rushing yards.
