National Championship:

Both the Georgia Bulldogs and the TCU Horned Frogs came off of very impressive wins against great teams. In the Chick-fil-A Peach, Georgia defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes, by a score of 42-41 on the back of a very high powered offensive performance, led by Stetson Bennett. Bennett had 398 yards, and 3 touchdowns while completing 23 out of his 34 passing attempts. Georgia also got great production out of their pass catchers, as Brock Bowers had 4 receptions for 64 yards and Kenny McIntosh had 5 receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown. Two of Georgia's receivers, Arian Smith and Adonai Mitchell were very influential in Georgia’s 14 point 4 quarter comeback. Arian Smith had 3 receptions for 129 yards and a 76 yard touchdown, which brought more momentum toward Georgia and brought them within three points, whereas Adonai Mitchell had 3 receptions for 43 yards and a 25 yard touchdown with 54 seconds remaining in the game, to give Georgia a one point lead. The Georgia defense looked very uncharacteristic as Ohio State put up 41 points and nearly won the game. Georgia still did a great job pressuring C.J. Stroud and putting him in uncomfortable situations, which is what they will need to do against TCU’s quarterback Max Duggan. In the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, the TCU Horned Frogs defeated the Michigan Wolverines by a score of 51-45, led by a very great performance on the ground. Even though TCU starting running back Kendre Miller went down with an injury, Emari Demercado stepped up big time, as he had 17 carries for 150 yards and a touchdown. Max Duggan also got going in the run game when the passing game was not working, as he had 15 carries for 57 yards and 2 touchdowns. TCU’s defense did a great job making game-changing plays, as Bud Clark had a 41 yard pick-six, and Dee Winters had a 29 yard pick-six. TCU also did a good job slowing down the incredible Michigan run game. TCU did allow Michigan to get some big plays, which is something Georgia is great at doing. If TCU wants to beat the Bulldogs, they need to overpower the Georgia front-7 and not allow Georgia to get many big plays.

Prediction: Georgia wins 34-27
